This Privacy Policy applies to all personal information collected by TruAccounts Bookkeeping and Accounting Services via the website located at https://www.truaccounts.com.au.

2. What information do we collect?

The personal information which we collect and hold about you may include: name; email address; phone number; business name; Australian Business Number (ABN); business type; estimated annual turnover; and the nature of bookkeeping or accounting services you are interested in.

  2. (b) Our website forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse. When you submit a form, Google reCAPTCHA may collect your IP address and behavioural data to verify that you are a human user. This data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Purpose of collection

  1. (a) The purpose for which we collect personal information is to provide you with the best service experience possible on the website.
  2. (b) The information we collect will be used to provide the service requested or to respond to queries.
  3. (c) We disclose personal information to third-party service providers who assist us in operating the website. These include:
    • Supabase (United States) — secure database storage of enquiry submissions;
    • Resend (United States) — transactional email delivery of enquiry notifications and confirmation emails; and
    • Google reCAPTCHA (United States) — spam and bot prevention on website forms.
    Your personal information may also be accessible to maintenance and support personnel acting in the normal course of their duties.
  4. (d) By using our website, you consent to the receipt of direct marketing material. We will only use your personal information for this purpose if we have collected such information direct from you, and if it is material of a type which you would reasonably expect to receive from us. We do not use sensitive personal information in direct marketing activity. Our direct marketing material will include a simple means by which you can request not to receive further communications of this nature.

5. Access and correction

7. Overseas transfer

Some of our third-party service providers are based outside Australia, and your personal information may be transferred to and stored on servers located in the United States. Specifically, Supabase, Resend, and Google (reCAPTCHA) process data on infrastructure based in the United States.

By submitting a form on this website, you consent to your personal information being transferred to these overseas recipients. Please note that overseas recipients are not required to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles, and we are not liable for any mishandling of your information by those recipients. Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and applicable data protection laws.

8. Data retention

Personal information submitted through our website forms is retained indefinitely to enable us to manage client enquiries and maintain accurate business records.
